Steven B. Axt, D.P.M., F.A.C.F.A.O.M., P.C.

A native of New Jersey, Dr. Axt obtained his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck, New Jersey in 1976.  He received his D.P.M. from Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 1980, graduating with highest honors..

Dr. Axt completed his Surgical Residency at North Lake Hospital, North Lake, Illinois, an affiliate of Cook County Hospital System, in 1981.  Dr. Axt is the Chief of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital in Patchogue, N.Y.  He has been in private practice in Patchogue, NY since October of 1981.  He is a noted lecturer on diabetic wound care, trauma and surgery.
